The framing industry is jumping on the green train. Forward thinking companies like Larson-Juhl and Nurre Caxton are now offering “earth-friendly mouldings”. Larson has just introduced the Biltmore collection, inspired by the Asheville, NC homes’ intricate, antique frames. The collection is the industry’s first Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) certified frame moulding.<br /><br />Following suit, Nurre Caxton has introduced EcoCare, a moulding line produced with wood from managed forests- “For every tree we use, we replace one”. Excellent! In addition, moulding colors are achieved with organic, water-based stains. No oils or chemical solvents are used.<br /><br />In support of our industry’s green initiative, Gallery 17.92 will be offering <strong>15% OFF</strong> these frame lines through May. Save the planet and save some money- what could be better?<br /><a href="http://www.biltmoreframes.com/">http://www.biltmoreframes.com/</a><br /><a href="http://www.nurrecaxton.com/">http://www.nurrecaxton.com/</a>Gallery 17.92http://www.blogger.com/profile/16824897354599692677noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4675346542405078926.post-66939043158427678312009-04-02T17:41:00.000-07:002009-04-02T17:49:28.767-07:00All the Pretty Horses<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_igvWQnWbv28auPppZvLa84U_g3qrJlb4-KVxfxkonDC1ty9RbTuC2qS6d-czrhvbvk8jmhIgqcM3hbNpWfCkvb0YQLzfn8jkrnk0mLkxIMAHvpv5-6e97ApjgT9si3ulZYa7gM4mxfg/s1600-h/Everything+Becomes+Ordinary.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5320259614188678466" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_igvWQnWbv28auPppZvLa84U_g3qrJlb4-KVxfxkonDC1ty9RbTuC2qS6d-czrhvbvk8jmhIgqcM3hbNpWfCkvb0YQLzfn8jkrnk0mLkxIMAHvpv5-6e97ApjgT9si3ulZYa7gM4mxfg/s320/Everything+Becomes+Ordinary.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghFaWG2dINk-6y80bHoO37D9OeWRupZUMcQvGbWQnisyN-mTjjx8iOpnHEY3x-_qhGlZuYTE5wqEmabF4MrYiFQlU0RBVEricuR11dj1tlOqf6FMbL_6aIGH86moLwSzkCknbot3btXQY/s1600-h/Short,+Sharp,+Shock.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5320259368422625298" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghFaWG2dINk-6y80bHoO37D9OeWRupZUMcQvGbWQnisyN-mTjjx8iOpnHEY3x-_qhGlZuYTE5wqEmabF4MrYiFQlU0RBVEricuR11dj1tlOqf6FMbL_6aIGH86moLwSzkCknbot3btXQY/s320/Short,+Sharp,+Shock.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div></div><div>My favorite sculptor has just completed some amazing new works. You have undoubtedly seen his horses in our windows, and after several years of showing his work, I still maintain that he is one of the most talented artists we have the privilege of working with. How can someone take wood shards, copper wire, and twine and construct these horses that come alive with such movement and emotion? It’s a mystery. </div><div><br />Swing by the Gallery and check out his new pieces, if nothing else but to admire them and be inspired by how the simplest materials can be crafted into incredible works of art. </div><br /><div></div></div>Gallery 17.92http://www.blogger.com/profile/16824897354599692677noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4675346542405078926.post-39295547788014961282009-03-25T18:55:00.000-07:002009-03-30T18:12:49.350-07:00Tampering With Reality: The Recent Paintings of Monte Olinger<div align="justify"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhC0eRgRtaT-F0v745b2ZKelNp50XFsm4RahFAlyzFl9bFVV3Xp1Fums4D_xW-yGF9dSbViiDVyE_XvCcRo4mtDFYu8_FMd_SNDeNjIHU7IX7OdxPAi5wiRwYHq6jw7ZY-WLphcn8nrVE0/s1600-h/Olinger-+Her+Greatness.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5317309494917946386" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 162px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 200px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhC0eRgRtaT-F0v745b2ZKelNp50XFsm4RahFAlyzFl9bFVV3Xp1Fums4D_xW-yGF9dSbViiDVyE_XvCcRo4mtDFYu8_FMd_SNDeNjIHU7IX7OdxPAi5wiRwYHq6jw7ZY-WLphcn8nrVE0/s200/Olinger-+Her+Greatness.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div align="center">SAVE THE DATE for FRIDAY, MAY 1ST!!</div><br /><br /><br />Gallery 17.92 is proud to host an Opening Reception for Orlando’s own Monte Olinger.
